About us
Our Mission
CT Storm is a dynamic and inclusive youth track and field club based in Southington, Connecticut. Our mission is to foster a love for track and field by providing a supportive and engaging environment for athletes of all skill levels from Southington and surrounding towns.
At CT Storm, we are dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of track and field while promoting individual growth and development. Our comprehensive program introduces athletes to the core disciplines of the sport, including running, jumping, and throwing. We believe in creating a fun and positive atmosphere where young athletes can learn, grow, and thrive.
Our club participates in regional competitions, proudly representing our community in USA Track & Field and AAU meets. Through these competitions, our athletes gain valuable experience, build confidence, and develop a strong sense of sportsmanship.
Whether your child is new to track and field or looking to enhance their skills, CT Storm welcomes all to join our team. We are committed to helping each athlete reach their full potential and celebrate their achievements along the way.

Attendance Policy
Athletes are encouraged to attend as many practices as possible. However, there is no attendance policy. We understand that youth are engaged in many activities. This sport, though, does require repetition and practice to make improvements.
Gear and Uniforms
Athletes should come dressed appropriately for the weather. There is no practice uniform.
Athletes should have good running shoes (not basketball shoes etc). It is highly recommended that you go to a specialty running store and get fitted for a shoe.
Track spikes are optional for meets.
Uniforms will no longer be purchased through the club - please use the following website to order:
https://www.southingtontheathleticshop.com/connecticut-storm-track-field/
T-shirts: The club will cover the cost of the T-shirt for all participants. Additional T-shirts will be available for purchase by parents (select option on website).
Uniforms: Uniforms consist of both a tank jersey and black shorts and are mandatory for participation in meets. We've aimed to maintain consistency with last year's uniforms. If your uniform from last year still fits, there's no need to purchase a new one! Tank tops and shorts are available as separate items in case only one piece fits from last year.
Meets / Competitions
We encourage athletes to participate in scheduled meets, but we do not make them mandatory. Most meets are available to all grades (with a few middle school only meets)
All known meets are added to the CT Storm Athletic.net schedule:
